However, my wife has always objected to my wearing moccasins anyplace except the MOST casual places. She says it looks like I am wearing my bedroom slippers. Also, for casual use, traditional moccasins are a bit too apt to slip off my feet unless the lace is tightened to an uncomfortable level. Construction is excellent, and the shoes are extremely comfortable. The only negative is that the sizing seems to be slightly off. I was given a pair of Rugged Shark Boat shoes several years ago and wore them constantly until they wore out some three years later. I do mean I wore them EVERYDAY they were so comfortable and versatile. When they finally wore out I tried to get another pair and of course that style had been discontinued. I have tried numerous other "top named" brand Boat shoes but found none to be as comfortable or durable as the Rugged Sharks. Until now...these boat shoes have the same comfort and durability and I wear a size 16 so they have to work. My only issue with the shoe is that the size 16 is a bit snug. However, I must admit that is only when I wear a sock with it. When I wear it without a sock it's fine. I'd recommend this shoe to anyone looking for a great boat shoe. If you ever plan to wear socks with it get very thin socks and you'll be fine. |
